Tiger Airways appoints ex-Virgin Blue's executive as new CEO for Australian unit

    TIGER Airways has turned to a former top executive of rival Virgin to continue its recovery from being grounded as it re-establishes full services.
    Andrew David, the former chief operating officer of Virgin Blue, has been appointed Tiger Australia's new chief executive officer.
    Mr David will replace existing CEO Tony Davis, who stepped aside from Tiger Airways Holding's chief executive officer position in Singapore to come to Australia in July to work with authorities to get the airline back into the skies after it was grounded. Full story
