Subsidy Scheme For Malay Students In Singapore To Use Per Capita Income Criterion

    SINGAPORE, Sept 10 (Bernama) -- The criterion for the Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy (TTFS) Scheme for Malay students has been revised from a monthly household income criterion to a per capita income criterion.
    In announcing this, Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Dr Yaacob Ibrahim said the new income criterion would be a per capita household income of S$1,500 and below.
    Dr Yaacob explained to the community leaders present that the change took into account household size, which gave a more accurate picture of a family's financial situation. Full story
