The governing board for Yale’s new venture with the National University of Singapore will be led by a Singaporean businesswoman whose family runs “one of Asia’s most diversified and dynamic multinational conglomerates.”
Kuok, a lawyer, is executive chair of Shangri-La Hotel Limited. Her family business, the Kuok Group of Companies, is also involved in “trading, manufacturing, property and shipping,” her Yale bio says. Full story
