Singapore's manufacturing contracted for the third straight month in September

SINGAPORE -(Dow Jones)- Singapore's manufacturing sector contracted for the third straight month in September as the global economy continued to sputter, likely reducing demand for the city state's exports.
The country's purchasing managers' index fell to 48.3 in September from 49.4 in August, the Singapore Institute of Purchasing & Materials Management said Tuesday. Full story
