Malaysia tops the list of safest countries in South-East Asia

    Survey carried out among 153 countries, by the world’s leading measure of global peacefulness, The Institute for Economics and Peace, shows Malaysia as the 19th safest country in the world and the safest in South-East Asia region. Pushing down Singapore (24th) and other neighbouring countries, Indonesia (68th) and Thailand (107th), Malaysia emerges the winner in terms of safety according to the latest Global Peace Index (GPI). It also showed that Malaysia had gradually risen up the ladder from 37th position in the year 2007 to 19th this year. Full story
