THE consumer watchdog has forced Tiger Airways Australia to issue a notice correcting claims that competitors put up airfares by 30 per cent while it was grounded by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority earlier this year.
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said it had formed the view that Tiger did not have the evidence to support the claim, which was sent to subscribers on August 10 as the airline was resuming services.
This is not the first time Tiger has fallen foul of the ACCC. Full story

THE consumer watchdog has forced Tiger Airways Australia to issue a notice correcting claims that competitors put up airfares by 30 per cent while it was grounded by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority earlier this year.
