A Singaporean's rental nightmare in Johor

    A Singaporean man shares his nightmarish experience when he tried to rent out his house in Johor.
    Mr Song (50, supply chain management) had bought a two-storey terrace house in Johor 14 years ago for 300,000 ringgit (about S$121,644).
    He had intended to retire at the house and use it for weekend getaways.
    Due to his work, Song only visits the house about two to three times a year and leaves it empty most of the time.
    In November last year, Song received a call from his neighbour requesting to rent the empty house. The neighbour explained that he intends to have his three workers stay at the house to keep a close eye on them. Full story
