SINGAPORE, Sept 15 (Bernama) -- Singapore is still experiencing a tight labour market with healthy employment as reflected in a relatively stable level of job vacancies in the second quarter of this year.
Randstad regional director, Singapore & Malaysia, Karin Clarke, said the increase in employment rate from 1.9 per cent to 2.1 per cent may be a result of cautionary hiring by employers in certain industries.
