Singapore Retail Sales Rise More Than Expected In July

    (RTTNews) - Retail sales rose a seasonally adjusted 2.1 percent month-on-month in July, compared to an upwardly revised 1.7 percent increase in the previous month. Economists were looking for a 1 percent increase.
    Excluding motor vehicles, there was a 1.3 percent rise in sales. Retail sales at department stores and supermarkets rose 2.1 percent each from the previous month. Automobile sales climbed 4.8 percent monthly. Full story
