Singapore government arrests executive from parent company of ST Aerospace Mobile, VT Halter Marine

    MOBILE, Alabama -- VT Systems Inc., the U.S. holding company that owns both ST Aerospace Mobile and VT Halter Marine, announced that its chief financial officer was arrested by the Singapore government.
    Patrick Lee Swee Ching was arrested last week by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau, the company said in a statement released Monday. He was released Saturday and has returned the U.S. and has resumed his duties with VT Systems, the company said.
    VT Systems is the U.S. holding company for Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd. ST Aerospace Mobile employs 1,500 at Mobile's Brookley Aeroplex, and VT Halter Marine employs 1,500 at shipyards in Pascagoula, Moss Point and Escatawpa. Full story
