Singapore August Exports Likely Contracted 7.1% On Year - Economists

    SINGAPORE -(Dow Jones)- Singapore's exports likely contracted at a faster pace in August as a high base of comparison and a strong local currency accentuated the decline in shipments amid a weak global economy.
    Non-oil domestic exports likely fell 7.1% from a year earlier in August, wider than July's contraction of 2.8%, according to the median estimate in a Dow Jones Newswires poll of 10 economists. Full story
