To meet the demands for quality services for an ageing population, more money will need to be invested into the healthcare industry, said some Members of Parliament (MPs) and experts on Tuesday.
They also said that the Government needs to invest in training and relook subsidies.
Their comments come after Health Minister Gan Kim Yong told Lianhe Zaobao in an interview published on Tuesday that health-care spending is likely to exceed the current 4 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP). Full story
